*Nai- Ni Chen Dance Company, September 14, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Monday- Murchison Lane Auditorium Babcock Fine Arts Center - A blossom of color, energy and motion, "like endlessly proliferating forces of comsmic energy," says the New York Times.The dances of Nai Ni Chen fuse the dinamic freedom of American modern dance with the grace and splendor of Asian art.

*Senior Dance Concert; Malory Duff '10, Jasimine Jones '10, Aili McGill '10, Taylor Newman '10, October 16 & 17, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday- Dance Studio Theatre Babcock Fine Arts Center - This concert will be an exciting culmination of the choreography of these four talented choreographers and dancers.

*Fall Dance Concert, November 13 & 14, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Friday & Saturday -Murchison Lane Auditorium Babcock Fine Arts Center - SBC faculty and students will combine their talents to explore new choreographic horizons.

*Fringe Festival, Dance Concert, February 5, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Dance Studio TheatreBabcock Fine Arts Center - The audience will be transported on a journey through the mind and body, by way of new dance experiences, all slightly on the fringe.

*Senior Dance Concert: Katherine Boltz '10, Courtney Hurt '10, Beth Thomasson '10, February 19 & 20, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Friday & Saturday- Dance Studio Theatre Babcock Fine Arts Center - These three senior dance majors will be combining their unique artistic abilites and experiences to create a sensational and perhaps a anti-gravitational dance concert.

Mid-Atlantic American College Dance Festival March 17-20, 2010 Virginia Commonwealth University- SBC students and faculty will attend classes and two works will be performed for adjudication: a faculty and a student piece. Over 40 other universities and colleges will attend this festival.

*Spring Dance Concert April 16 & 17, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Friday & Saturday Murchison Lane Auditorium Babcock Fine Arts Center – Sweet Briar faculty and students will perform inspired works on a wide range of subjects.

*SBC Children’s Dance Concert May 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Saturday Murchison Lane Auditorium Babcock Fine Arts Center – The after school program for community children taught by Sweet Briar dance majors and directed by Professor Ella Magruder is a visual treat for everyone.
